A foundation is a flat, rigid surface made popular in the last 10 years by companies that use dense foams, particularly memory foams, in their mattresses. A foam or latex mattress functions best on a rigid surface, such as a foundation or a platform bed.
They may look the same on the outside, but foundations are rigid, and box springs are flexible. (We do not sell box springs.) A new or nearly new box spring will serve the purpose, but if it is poor quality or more than five years old, we don’t recommend using one. Many people overlook the fact that box springs do fail and will cause your mattress to sag.
Our foundations are available in standard 9” high profile and 5” low profile heights. We can customize any length, width, or height.
Starting at: $200 twin size. |
